On Friday, Baylor acrobatics and tumbling added to their already-full trophy case by winning their <a href=\"https:\/\/baylorbears.com\/news\/2021\/4\/23\/acrobatics-tumbling-no-2-a-t-secures-sixth-straight-national-title.aspx\">sixth straight national title<\/a> &#8212; extending an incredible run of dominance in the sport.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">&#x1f4fd;&#xfe0f;&#x23ea; A look back at Friday Night! &#x1f44f;&#x1f3c6;<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/SicEm?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#SicEm<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/3owepqBPvf\">pic.twitter.com\/3owepqBPvf<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Baylor A&amp;T (@BaylorAcroTumb) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BaylorAcroTumb\/status\/1386329479593619457?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 25, 2021<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The Bears had won five titles in a row from 2015-2019 before last year&#8217;s championship was canceled due to COVID-19; Baylor was again ranked No. 1 in the nation at the time. Having lost the chance a year ago, this year&#8217;s title was all the more special.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I don&#8217;t think anybody understands,&#8221; says head coach Felecia Mulkey. &#8220;The sigh of relief to get to this point is unbelievable&#8230; There were so many times we thought we wouldn&#8217;t be able to compete at all.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Instead, the Bears brought home yet another title &#8212; <a href=\"https:\/\/baylorbears.com\/sports\/2018\/5\/16\/trads-natl-championships-html.aspx\">the 12th national championship in Baylor varsity sports history<\/a>. In addition to A&amp;T&#8217;s six titles, Baylor has also won championships in men&#8217;s basketball (2021), women&#8217;s basketball (2005, 2012 &amp; 2019), men&#8217;s tennis (2004) and equestrian (2012).<\/p>\n<p>Sic \u2019em, Baylor acrobatics &amp; tumbling (and Baylor Athletics)!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>For the second time this month, Baylor Athletics has brought home a national championship.
