History will note two things about Baylor soccer’s 2017 season:\u00a0Big 12 champs,<\/a> and an Elite Eight finish<\/a>.<\/p>\n The Bears’ best season ever came to a close the day after Thanksgiving, when the Bears lost to No. 1 overall seed Duke in the NCAA tournament quarterfinals. The loss stopped an incredible postseason run in which head coach Paul Jobson’s squad\u00a0swept through the Big 12 tournament<\/a>, then made the program’s deepest NCAA tournament run, beating Conference USA champion Rice, defending national champion USC and Notre Dame.<\/p>\n Among the Bears’ notable accomplishments this year: All this, in just Jobson’s third year at the reins.
