The start of the 2017-18 school year also meant the official debuts of several new and new-look locations across the Baylor campus. Over the summer, Neill Morris Hall was cleared out (after\u00a0Baylor Communication Sciences & Disorders moved into their\u00a0beautiful new home in the Cashion Academic Center<\/a>\u00a0last year), and the Pullin Family Marina was relaunched. This fall also saw the unveilings of the new Baylor Addiction Recovery Center (BARC), the newly renovated Martin Residence Hall, and an upgraded Paul L. Foster Success Center.<\/p>\n

Here’s a look at each:<\/p>\n

The Baylor Addiction Recovery Center (BARC)<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

An extension of the\u00a0Baylor Counseling Center<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Wellness Office<\/a>, the BARC is a place where students can talk about their struggles with alcohol, drugs, gambling\u00a0or anything else. Having a dedicated center on campus will allow for expansion to recovery groups, social events, individual counseling and even\u00a0therapy dogs<\/a>.\u00a0The center is made possible by a lead gift from Baylor Regent Bob\u00a0Beauchamp and his wife, Laura, whose\u00a0four sons include two Baylor graduates and one current\u00a0Baylor student.<\/p>\n
