“I was originally a biology major… When I switched to religion, I felt like it was right. … I really wanna bridge that gap between science and religion. I know a lot of people try to separate it, but I think they can\u2019t be separated. You can\u2019t separate something from someone who created it. I know there are concepts that you can\u2019t force; you can\u2019t force faith and science together, but I think there\u2019s a whole lot of faith within science. …<\/p>\n

“Baylor’s just a place where you can be open-minded but still have that sense of security that it\u2019s okay to believe in something, whether it\u2019s the same thing as everyone else or not. And I feel that Baylor does a really good job of letting you know that you\u2019re important even if you don\u2019t believe the same thing as the university does or your peers around you. You\u2019re still included, and you\u2019re still a part of the community. And I think that\u2019s the greatest part of it all, that you don\u2019t feel excluded, even if you have no particular faith or anything in that sense. You can still find a place to fit in. There\u2019s still something for you here.”<\/p>\n
