Think back to when you were a high school senior preparing for college. You probably felt some uncertainty about the years ahead: How would you\u00a0make\u00a0friends in college? What if you didn’t\u00a0fit in? What if the university\u00a0you chose was\u00a0not the right fit\u00a0for you?<\/p>\n

Since 2001,\u00a0Baylor Line Camp<\/a>\u00a0has eased\u00a0those pre-college anxieties for incoming Bears. An extension of orientation<\/a>, Line Camp further prepares new\u00a0students for their transition to Baylor. Over the course of four days, they get to know fellow freshmen, become familiar with getting around\u00a0campus, run the Baylor Line for the first time, learn the cheers and chants they\u2019ll do at sporting events, and even have their own mini All University Sing.<\/p>\n

But most will agree that the highlight of Line Camp is the trip to Independence, Texas<\/a>, Baylor\u2019s original home. Here, Baylor\u2019s newest Bears learn about the university\u2019s beginnings, have a meal together, and in a solemn ceremony around\u00a0the last remaining columns of Baylor\u2019s original buildings, are inducted into that good old Baylor Line.<\/p>\n
