Since the beginning, Baylor’s Texas Hunger Initiative<\/a> (THI) has had two goals: to develop\u00a0(and implement) plans to end hunger in Texas, and to create\u00a0methods that can be reproduced elsewhere\u00a0around the country.<\/p>\n THI’s work has already made\u00a0an impact<\/a>.\u00a0THI\u00a0has gathered and trained more than 1,100 community-based organizations — churches, libraries, hospitals, schools, shelters, etc. — that are working together to make existing food and resources more readily and efficiently available to those in need.<\/p>\n Recognizing\u00a0the impressive work THI has accomplished\u00a0via\u00a0public-private partnerships, Baylor representatives are increasingly being asked to share\u00a0what they’ve learned with national\u00a0groups and even internationally.
