He&#8217;s already had three open-heart surgeries, and he&#8217;s not out of the woods yet. His lifelong fight inspired the Make-A-Wish Foundation to take up his case and help make life a little better for the Houston-area\u00a0native.<\/p>\n<p>In April, Jace got to tailgate with Chi Omega and then throw out the first pitch at a Baylor baseball game; ChiO also raised money to help fund their new friend&#8217;s\u00a0wish.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/espn.go.com\/video\/clip?id=11245258\" target=\"_blank\">ESPN picks up the story<\/a> as\u00a0Jace learns\u00a0that&#8217;s just the beginning:<\/p>\n<p><script src=\"http:\/\/player.espn.com\/player.js?pcode=1kNG061cgaoolOncv54OAO1ceO-I&#038;width=576&#038;height=324&#038;externalId=espn:11245258\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Three thoughts after watching that video:<br \/>\n1) What a story.
