The St. Petersburg, Fla., native previously shared the World Junior Record, but Friday became the first person under the age of 20\u00a0ever to break the 10.00-second mark in the 100-meter race.<\/p>\n<p>Is it the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.baylorbears.com\/sports\/c-track\/spec-rel\/061514aaa.html\" target=\"_blank\">11 student-athletes that earned All-America honors<\/a><\/strong> (across nine different events)? That group was led by freshman T.J. Holmes, who earned All-America recognition in both the 400-meter hurdles and as part of the 4&#215;400 relay.<\/p>\n<p>Or is it <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.baylorbears.com\/sports\/c-track\/spec-rel\/061514aaa.html\" target=\"_blank\">the men and women&#8217;s teams matching their best combined finish ever<\/a><\/strong>, with the men placing eighth and the women 14th? That&#8217;s the third time in the last seven years that both squads have finished in the top 20. The\u00a0men earned 21 points, their best total since 2008, while the women recorded 17 points, their best showing since 2009. (And the Bears did all this without the services of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.baylorbears.com\/sports\/c-track\/recaps\/031514aab.html\" target=\"_blank\">NCAA Indoor triple jump champion Felix Obi<\/a>, who was out with an injury.)<\/p>\n<p>That concludes the 2014 season for Baylor track and field.
