{"id":12008,"date":"2013-05-21T23:35:51","date_gmt":"2013-05-21T23:35:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/baylorproud.wpengine.com\/?p=12008"},"modified":"2013-05-22T17:23:37","modified_gmt":"2013-05-22T17:23:37","slug":"with-four-new-regents-baylors-board-now-made-up-of-90-bu-alumni","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www2.baylor.edu\/baylorproud\/2013\/05\/with-four-new-regents-baylors-board-now-made-up-of-90-bu-alumni\/","title":{"rendered":"With four new Regents, Baylor&#8217;s Board now made up of 90% BU alumni"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"regents-may13-2\" src=\"https:\/\/www2.baylor.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/regents-may13-2.jpg\" alt=\"Giglio, Heard, Wright and Pullin\" width=\"500\" height=\"200\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Following the Baylor Board of Regents&#8217; spring meeting last week, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.baylor.edu\/mediacommunications\/news.php?action=story&amp;story=130276&amp;_buref=1172-91940\" target=\"_blank\">four new Regents &#8212; all Baylor alumni &#8212; were announced as the next to join the Board in June<\/a>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Shelley Giglio, BBA &#8217;86, chief strategist and manager to the bands for sixstepsrecords and co-founder of Passion Conferences\/Choice Ministries. She and her husband, Louie, began the ministry that would become Passion in Waco in 1985; after 10 years of working with Baylor students, the couple moved to Atlanta, where Passion Conferences were born.<\/li>\n<li>Larry P. Heard, BBA &#8217;80, president and CEO of Transwestern Commercial Services, a real estate firm based in Houston. Heard has previously served on the Hankamer School of Business advisory board and the Baylor College of Medicine board of trustees.<\/li>\n<li>Kathy Wills Wright, BS &#8217;85, MSEd &#8217;88, of Arlington, Va., consultant in Washington, D.C. After holding several appointments in the George W. Bush Administration, Wright has served Baylor as a friend in Washington, as a member of President Ken Starr&#8217;s executive council, and as a Regent.<\/li>\n<li>Randolph L. (Randy) Pullin, BBA &#8217;82, of Houston, chief financial officer with Stedman West Interests Inc. Elected by the Baptist General Convention of Texas, Pullin is a longtime Texas Baptist lay leader and former Buckner Foundation board director; he also served on the Presidential Search Advisory Committee that recommended Judge Starr to Baylor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>With these four added to the mix (pictured left to right above), nearly 90% of Baylor&#8217;s Regents &#8212; 25 out of 28 &#8212; are graduates of Baylor.
