Meet Baylor’s expert on employee stress & health and organizational behavior
Dr. Sara Perry, assistant professor of management in Baylor’s Hankamer School of Business, teaches and conducts research in management-related topics, including negotiation, employee stress and health, innovation and leadership. Her specialties include organizational behavior, negotiation, human resource management and industrial/organizational psychology.
Perry’s research may be especially helpful to recent and soon-to-be college grads — something media around the country are picking up on. She’s been sought out as a resource for salary negotiations tips for new graduates, how to turn a hobby into a job, and whether or not working from home is for you.
For the more seasoned professionals, other research of hers dives deep into much less studied topics — such as how ethical leadership can actually have negative consequences, what drives innovative people to feel committed to their organization, and how empowering leadership may reduce employee cynicism.
Here at Baylor, our students are have an incredible opportunity to learn from experts like Perry, who are breaking new ground in their research. In fact, in 2017, Perry received Baylor Business’ Young Researcher Award, as well as the university’s Outstanding Researcher award!
