• Baylor recognized as a ‘Best Value’ by U.S. News & World Report

The U.S. News & World Report “Best Colleges Rankings” each year are among the most discussed rankings in all of higher education, and Baylor routinely is ranked among the best. But there’s another ranking-within-the-ranking for the Baylor Family to be proud of: Once again in 2018, Baylor received high marks as a Best Value School.

Specifically, Baylor ranked 57th nationally for the value provided by the Baylor experience — tops in the Big 12, and No. 3 in Texas (behind only Rice and Texas A&M). U.S. News looked at academic quality, overall ranking, net cost of attendance, and financial aid numbers to rank the Best Value Schools, which points to some of the benefits one receives from a Baylor education.

The ranking is Baylor’s latest value-driven accolade, alongside recognition from Kiplinger’s (where Baylor has been named a “Best College Value” 8 of the last 10 years) and the Fiske “Best Buy” List in recent years.

What makes Baylor such a universally-recognized value? You could pinpoint any number of reasons: committed faculty who demonstrate their devotion to students in so many ways, the opportunity to participate in ground-breaking research, intentional student engagement, and resources to help students succeed on and off campus — the list goes on an on. Baylor isn’t inexpensive, and we know many families and students work hard to make their Baylor experience a reality. But it’s always great to see lists like these, a reminder from others that Bears truly receive all that they put into the experience and more.

    Sic ’em, Bears!
