• Another sneak peek at Baylor’s Class of 2022

Johanna Warner, Matthew Beard & Peyton Dietze

About a month from now, Baylor’s Class of 2022 will arrive on campus for Welcome Week and the start of the fall semester. What do these soon-to-be freshmen have to say about Baylor?

“I was very attracted to the idea of attending college in Texas,” Southern California native Johanna Warner told the Coronado (CA) Eagle & Journal. “My mom and I went and visited three schools there, and Baylor stood out 100%. … It’s not a small school, but it is smaller than other big name schools. And they have a great medical program.

“There is also Southern Hospitality,” she added, “and I saw that just in the first hour we were on campus. I have lived in Coronado my whole life, and I want to see new things and meet new people.”

“I love the campus, the environment down there,” DFW-area graduate Matthew Beard said to the Rowlett Lakeshore Times, “but what really got me was when I talked to students, coaches and teachers and staff.

“The students there were all nice, and I love the diversity, too,” he continued. “I walked around campus and saw people of every race, creed, religion, etc. It was very interesting to see so many different people at one place.”

“I love the campus, the community,” echoed Sulphur Springs valedictorian Peyton Dietze in an interview with the Sulphur Springs News-Telegram. “It’s so spiritually involved. Christ is big thing there, which is really important to me.”

All three are exceptional students. Warner served as cheerleading team captain and was one of her school’s top seniors. Beard is an active community volunteer and hopes to one day join the FBI. Dietze was her school’s valedictorian, class president and cheer captain. And this fall, all three will be Baylor Bears.

    Sic ’em, Class of 2022!
