This week, Baylor students are matched up against other NCAA schools in a competition of skill, expertise and dexterity. If March Madness is what comes to your mind, you’re halfway there. Along with the Sweet 16 teams competing in the NCAA men’s basketball tournament this week, three undergraduate students from each team’s school — including Baylor — will face off in ESPN’s new quiz show, Bracket Genius, which debuts Wednesday at 4 p.m. CT on ESPN2.

Hosted by Baylor grad Trey Wingo, BA ’85, Bracket Genius focuses on the academic side of the 16 schools represented on the court. The three students pictured above — senior University Scholar Daniel Notman, senior secondary education major Trevor Taylor, and senior Baylor Business Fellow Kat Largent — will represent Baylor as they answer trivia questions on history, geography, politics, literature, science, pop culture, the arts and sports. Just like the NCAA tournament, the highest-scoring team will advance to the next round.

If all goes well, you’ll get a few chances to see them compete throughout March Madness, up through the final episode on April 4 when finalists will compete for the grand prize of $100,000. Tune in Wednesday or set your DVR to cheer on these Baylor students!
