• #BearsOfBaylor — “He is going to serenade my little…”

Her: “He is going to serenade my little for her basket for Basket Week. … The sororities will do this thing where they’ll get a big, who’s like their sorority mom, who’s in the pledge class above them. That big will put together a series of baskets full of all kinds of t-shirts, goodies and baked goods that the little will love for the week. And then at the end of the week the big is like, ‘I’m your big!’ and it’s like this whole big surprise. She doesn’t know it’s me, which is why I have to hide in a minute.

“My big is one of my closest friends… She’s a person who’s been there for me through really fun times, but also has been there through lots of lows. She’s been a really cool spiritual mentor and an awesome loving friend, so I want to be that for my little.”

Him: “If I could do anything I wanted to, I would be a singer-songwriter on tour kind of thing. But realizing that’s not realistic, it’s something to keep as a hobby, especially for now. But it is hard learning how to perform in front of people, and I’m not used to doing it besides in a worship context, and that’s very different. …

“I’m always trying to gain experience performing in front of people, even in extremely awkward situations like this. … Sometimes it just takes 30 seconds of incredible, thoughtless courage to just do something you never would have done before. This is not me. This is not what I would normally do. But I’m going to try to make it seem like it’s not that way, try to branch out and grow in different ways.”
