• #BearsOfBaylor — “Seeing others come together as a community — that’s what Baylor’s about…”

“The Multicultural Greek Council [MGC] is basically where people of different multicultural backgrounds can come together and form a community. All of our organizations within the MGC are historically ethnic-related. So the one I’m part of, Delta Epsilon Psi, is historically a South Asian interest fraternity. It’s kind of a good way for us to come together and form a community here… I met some of my best friends through the fraternity and through the MGC, so it’s a really nice thing. We also have a heavy emphasis on volunteering; we really believe in community service and giving back to the community.

“We’re not hanging out with just the brown crowd or just the Asian people. We’re all about seeing others come together as a community — that’s what Baylor’s about, and that’s what MGC really is about…. We would love to have people with different world perspectives, different beliefs, and who are different from us join our organization; that way we can learn from them, and they can learn from us.”
