“I’m thankful for family, the opportunity to go home and spend time with my family. … And I’m really thankful this year for friends. Baylor has really provided me with opportunities to make awesome friends in my church community, in my medical organizations, and outside of that, in my classes and stuff.

“This year, one thing that has really hit home for me as far as being thankful is freedom… I’ve done a lot of mission trips to countries where they don’t have freedom, opportunities, or rights to anything. A lot of the countries I’ve been to, the people – especially women – don’t have as many rights… So the opportunity to live in a country where I can have freedom to go to church and spend time with friends is just really cool.”
