• #BearsOfBaylor — “I really wanna bridge that gap between science and religion.”

“I was originally a biology major… When I switched to religion, I felt like it was right. … I really wanna bridge that gap between science and religion. I know a lot of people try to separate it, but I think they can’t be separated. You can’t separate something from someone who created it. I know there are concepts that you can’t force; you can’t force faith and science together, but I think there’s a whole lot of faith within science. …

“Baylor’s just a place where you can be open-minded but still have that sense of security that it’s okay to believe in something, whether it’s the same thing as everyone else or not. And I feel that Baylor does a really good job of letting you know that you’re important even if you don’t believe the same thing as the university does or your peers around you. You’re still included, and you’re still a part of the community. And I think that’s the greatest part of it all, that you don’t feel excluded, even if you have no particular faith or anything in that sense. You can still find a place to fit in. There’s still something for you here.”
