• #BearsOfBaylor — “[BUGWB] is like a big family, really.”

“I’m a freshman. I’m about to go to band practice. It’s a great place, the people are very nice — especially the trombone section. It’s like a big family, really.”

[What was it like marching for the first time in a Baylor game?]

“The first thing that really stuck with me is that there were so many people out there, all waiting for us. I’ve marched before and done contests with my high school band, but there were nowhere near as many people as there are in McLane, when it’s game day… Knowing that, after this minute and a half, we’re going to go out there, and everybody is going to be watching — it puts this pressure on you. But, at the same time, it gets you really excited to perform. It’s just the excitement. Everybody has the same mindset – to do their best. It’s unlike any other experience.”
