“I work for Baylor in Career and Professional Development. I am their events coordinator, so I coordinate all their events and career fairs. … We’re trying to help students get internships, get jobs, and take care of them as much as possible. That’s a goal of Baylor. That’s a goal of our department, to let people know we’re here to help them. We have career advisors, we have internship specialists, we have alumni specialists, who are here to help you get hired.

“[‘Lattes & Résumés‘] is sort of a quick way for students to get those last-minute finishing touches on their resume, so they’re ready for all the career fairs. … It’s important for students to have lots of people look at their resume, to get different people to look at it. Come to us, get us to look at it. … And definitely make it with the person you want to hire you in mind. So, if you’re in engineering, make sure it’s what an engineer or someone with Lockheed Martin, who’s hiring here, it’s what THEY want — because an engineering resume is very different from a business resume. So, definitely get lots of people to look at it and make sure it’s as perfect as it can be.”
