“I’ve always wanted to work in an area where I really feel like I can serve people and help people and better their lives. I got interested in politics and was like, ‘Well, I guess this is the way I can do it!’ I want to work in political communications somehow — trying to figure out how, exactly. I can work for a campaign, or someone on Capitol Hill, or something like that…

“A lot of my business major friends are applying for jobs, but in what I want to do for political science, I have to send my resume to my contacts who can help me get a job, people that I know who work in D.C. or different places… It’s who you know.”
