Men’s tennis into Final Four for 5th time in 12 years
The Baylor tennis dynasty just keeps rolling.
For the fifth time in 12 years, head coach Matt Knoll’s men’s tennis squad is into the NCAA semifinals. After sweeping through the first two rounds in Waco earlier this month, the No. 2-ranked Baylor men defeated No. 18 South Florida in the Round of 16 on Thursday, then beat No. 8 Southern Cal in the national quarterfinals Saturday.

Next up for Baylor? No. 3 Virginia, today at 1 p.m. at the Hurd Tennis Center. Interestingly, the Bears are one of three Big 12 teams to make the Final Four; No. 1 Oklahoma and No. 5 TCU also play this afternoon for a spot in the finals on Tuesday.

Over the weekend, the Baylor women joined the men in the Elite Eight before falling to top-seeded USC on Sunday. It was the fourth Elite Eight in seven years for head coach Joey Scrivano’s Lady Bears.
