• Baylor welcomes newest class of Alumni by Choice

You’ve probably seen the bumper stickers: “I wasn’t born in Texas, but I got here as fast as I could.” The same holds true for Baylor; over the years, plenty of graduates of other institutions have, in hindsight, wished they’d gone to Baylor.

Any member of the Baylor family can nominate someone to become an Alumnus/Alumna by Choice; just fill out the form here, describing the individual’s love for and commitment to Baylor. Once approved, each new class of Alumni by Choice is recognized on campus with a luncheon and ceremony where they receive an official Alumni by Choice decree.

The 72 members of the 2014 Alumni by Choice class were honored last week (see photos here). This year’s class includes President Ken Starr and his wife, Alice, plus three Baylor Regents (Bob Beauchamp, Gary Elliston and Christopher Howard), in addition to a host of others who have come to love Baylor through their connections as parents, Texas Baptists, Waco residents, and other means.
