• This Friday, ‘Be Bold, Wear Gold’ as the Bears open against TCU

Be Bold, Wear GoldBaylor football 2011 kicks off this week! The Bears take on No. 14 TCU at Floyd Casey Stadium this Friday night at 7 p.m. Airing nationwide on ESPN, the game is an opportunity to showcase what it means to be “Baylor Bold.” Buy your tickets (quickly — I’m hearing talk of a near sellout), wear your gold, come early, and be loud!

Coincidentally, Friday is also College Colors Day all across the nation. You know what that means; whether you live in Dallas or Detroit, Houston or Hong Kong, get your green and gold out and wear your Baylor colors to work, to school or just around town this Friday. Let’s show the rest of the world our Baylor spirit!

This is the sort of fanaticism at the heart of Baylor Athletics’ new “Baylor Bold” initiative. We’ve been too quiet about our love for Baylor for far too long; it’s time to be bold in supporting BU. What does that look like?

It doesn’t take much — just doing things like putting a Baylor decal on your car or flying a BU flag at your business. Baylor Bold fans retweet @BaylorProud and @BaylorAthletics on Twitter and join in the discussions on Facebook. Most obviously, it means attending every game possible, wearing your Baylor gold, showing up early to cheer on the Baylor Line, and staying to the end to sing “That Good Old Baylor Line” with your fellow Bears.
