Chances are good that, if you’re reading this blog, you’re either a Baylor graduate, parent, or a friend of the university. If so, this post is for you. (And you current students? You’ll be alumni soon enough, so consider this a taste of what’s ahead for you.)

The portion of Baylor’s website designed for alumni, parents and friends — appropriately enough, the address is baylor.edu/alumni — has been recently redesigned to better serve you (particularly if you’re looking at the site on your phone or tablet).

Message center graphics across the top highlight important news and other items for alumni, parents and friends, while links down the left side connect visitors to important alumni and parents programs, events and communications options. The re-worked site is designed as an entry point for everything you might need, helping you find Baylor events near you, connect with fellow alumni, and stay up to date on happenings across the Baylor family.

Here’s a quick run through some highlights of the new baylor.edu/alumni:

Even if you aren’t a Baylor alum, the Baylor Alumni Network (third tab down on the left) is open to you. With networks all around the country, you’re bound to find one near your city. If not, you can always start one! Our favorite part of the site is the brand-new interactive map that lets you find upcoming alumni events in your area.

If you’re just looking to keep up with general happenings at Baylor, baylor.edu/alumni is still your go-to site. Under the “Publications and Media” tab on the left, you’ll find links to Baylor Magazine, the BaylorProud blog, and Baylor’s social media accounts. Follow these, and you’ll have plenty of Baylor highlights to brag about — especially when things get extra competitive during football season.

And at the bottom left of baylor.edu/alumni, you’ll find the Alumni & Friends Directory. Here, you can update your contact information (so Baylor can keep you up to date on events in your area and what’s happening here on campus). You can also find fellow classmates you might have lost touch with over the years.

Sic ’em, Baylor alumni, parents and friends!
