• Baylor named a Fiske ‘Best Buy’ School – again

Baylor named a "Best Buy" by Fiske

I would call a Baylor education “priceless,” but each year, studies like this one from the Fiske Guide to Colleges manage to put a value on it — and this year was no different.

Baylor is one of just 44 institutions — public or private, college or university, from the U.S., U.K. and Canada — on Fiske’s “Best Buy List.” Only two other Big 12 schools (and just four others in Texas) made the list, which is based on academic rankings, affordable cost and quality of student life on campus.

Fiske had this to say about Baylor:

“Baylor University offers students a solid Christian-influenced education at a bargain price. The university’s Baptist tradition fosters a strong sense of community among students and faculty, and the school’s vision plan promises a slew of strategic changes such as lowering the student/teacher ratio and building new residence halls. Under the watch of president Ken Starr the university aspires to become a top-tier research university while enhancing its Christian identity.”

    Sic ’em, Bears!
