• Baylor makes ‘Great Colleges To Work For’ elite honor roll for 5th straight year

Baylor named among 2015 Great Colleges To Work For

Record-setting teams have become engrained as a part of the Baylor landscape, and not just on the football field or basketball court. Baylor faculty and staff — the team that serves our students, connects our alumni and keeps the university running on a daily basis — have created such a positive work environment that they’ve set a record of their own.

Baylor has achieved elite honor roll status among the country’s “Great Colleges To Work For,” as recognized by The Chronicle of Higher Education, for a fifth consecutive year.

How did Baylor achieve elite honor roll status yet again? The award recognizes employee satisfaction in 12 different categories, and Baylor was recognized for excellence in 11 of them, including teaching environment, work/life balance, facilities, respect and appreciation, and confidence in leadership. Achieving recognition in 11 categories puts Baylor in rarified air in the “Great Colleges To Work For” survey; among “large universities,” only Duke and Michigan joined Baylor in achieving the feat this year.

A team operates at peak efficiency when members are fulfilled in their role and confident their contributions enhance the organization’s mission. Evidence of the satisfaction Baylor faculty and staff feel in their jobs isn’t only in awards and recognitions, but in the continued success and growth of Baylor University — success that’s attracting the attention of others in the academic world in record-setting ways.

    Sic ’em, Bears!
