• 7 things you must do before graduating from Baylor

What’s on your Baylor Bucket List? This Baylor Magazine list includes more than 75 experiences and traditions, but in an effort to simplify things — especially for you seniors who have just a few weeks left — we’ve identified these 7 key experiences you’ll want to make sure you’ve crossed off before you cross the Ferrell Center stage:

    1. Have coffee with a professor. The Baylor experience is personal, with great professors who also are genuinely interested in their students. With graduation looming, seniors usually have questions and could use some guidance about the future. So, invite a professor to grab a cup of coffee. You never know how a simple conversation could help clarify your plans and build a lifelong friendship.

    2. Baylor Athletics road trip. While there’s nothing like being surrounded by thousands of screaming Baylor fans in Waco, there’s something special about flinging your green and gold afar on the road. If you haven’t road-tripped to a football game in the past, you’ve still got time to hit the road with another sport.

    3. Ring by spring. Do you have your ring yet? No, not the one on your left hand; the other ring — your Baylor class ring. With the Official Baylor Ring Ceremony coming up in May, now would be a great time to get your ring.

    4. Study or nap outside. Break up your routine and study outside, instead of in the library. From Fountain Mall to the Garden of Contentment, the BSB’s porch to the beloved Baylor swings, campus offers no shortage of beautiful outdoor spaces. And if you haven’t yet taken a nap outside at Baylor, just know that’s a luxury you can really only get away with as a student. So grab a blanket (or a hammock) and find an open spot.

    5. Diadeloso. For seniors, April 14 is the end of an era. It’s your last Diadeloso as a student. So pick an activity you haven’t yet tried — the Foam Run, a photo with an exotic animal, tug of war, a stage show or anything else new — to make sure you graduate with the full Diadeloso experience. Carpe Dia!

    6. Stage and symphony. Take advantage of the great cultural experiences available right on campus (and often for free). Take in a concert or recital at the beautiful Jones Concert Hall or catch a Baylor Theatre production before the year ends.

    7. Visit Independence. A trip to Baylor’s original home is a must for everyone who loves the green and gold. If you didn’t have the chance to cross beneath the iconic columns at Baylor Line Camp, you have another chance before graduation. (For those who visited as incoming freshmen, this is your opportunity to come full circle as graduation approaches.) Take the road trip to Independence that is a part of the annual Senior Celebration and see just how far Baylor has come.

    Sic ’em, Baylor seniors!
