• #EveryoneInBlack set for Saturday

    #EveryoneInBlack 2014

Forget the rankings, the controversy, the fact that the Big 12 could be left out entirely from the first College Football Playoff. All Baylor football can do now is just keep winning.

Asked how he would lobby for the No. 7-ranked Bears with the playoff committee on Monday, head coach Art Briles had a pretty pointed response:

“I can politic it — for our team — and that’s winning every time we step on the field. We can politic very strongly in that matter. At the end of the day, that’s what it’s going to be all about. That’s what it’s going to come down to. It’s all vapor. It’s all speculation. The reality is, you have to go win on Saturdays. We’re trying to win a Big 12 Championship. That’s our mission; that’s our goal. Whatever comes with it comes with it, but that’s where our focus and energy is, and I don’t need a calculator to figure it out. If we win out, we’re in pretty good shape in accomplishing that mission, so that’s where our focus and energy is, and our next test begins here at 6:30 p.m. versus Oklahoma State.”

Want to help? Show up and be loud in support of our Bears, starting with this Saturday against Oklahoma State. Briles called last year’s #EveryoneInBlack game “maybe the best” he’s ever been a part of; get your blackout gear ready and be loud Saturday night against the Cowboys.

Tickets are still available for the Bears’ next game after that, Nov. 29 vs. Texas Tech at AT&T Stadium in Arlington. Then we’ll have one final chance to show our stuff in Waco on Dec. 6 in what could be the Big 12 title game against Kansas State.
