• Showing off Baylor pride, at home or in the office

    Baylor Proud? Indeed.

One of the fun things about social media is seeing all the ways Baylor Bears show their love for their alma mater. Our family of more than 165,000 living alumni is Baylor Proud, and likes to show it.

Over the last couple of years, we’ve shared examples of how Bears fling their green and gold at home and in the office on our Pinterest boards. My favorites include this neon interlocking BU, the Baylor state flag, Baylor t-shirt quilts and this framed Line jersey.

Showing off our Baylor pride speaks volumes to those around us about what this university stands for. Equally important is how we care for and support our own. The next generation of Bears will never become Baylor Proud if they can’t even make it to campus; we want to help them follow in our footsteps.

By making a gift to any area of Baylor — scholarships, your major, missions, athletics, anywhere  — you can make a difference in a student’s life. It doesn’t take much; even the few dollars you save from skipping tomorrow’s Starbucks adds up if we all pitch in.

If you’re a young alum, now is the time to give. Last year, our recent grads turned out in force to defeat TCU in the Young Alumni Challenge. Let’s defend our home turf. The contest runs through Oct. 8 — help a fellow Bear today.

    Sic ’em, Bears!
