• Baylor again named a ‘best buy’ among colleges and universities

As a new class of high school seniors spends the summer thinking about which college they’ll attend in the fall of 2015, the latest study from the best-selling Fiske Guide to Colleges has once again named Baylor a “best buy.”

Baylor is one of only 44 institutions — public or private, college or university, from the U.S., U.K. and Canada — on Fiske’s “Best Buy List.” Just two other Big 12 schools (and only five others in Texas) made the list, which is based on academic rankings, affordable cost and quality of student life on campus.

Baylor’s sticker price may not be the cheapest around, but the Baylor experience — the combination of high academics, research opportunities and great teachers in a Christian environment — stands out in the world of colleges and universities. I would call a Baylor education “priceless,” but studies like Fiske’s and Kiplinger’s each year manage to put a value on it — and each year, they find Baylor to be one of the “best buys” in higher education.

    Sic ’em, Bears!
