    Baylor Dad gift ideas

Still seeking the perfect Father’s Day gift for the Papa Bear in your life? Never fear; we’ve got some suggestions.

DOES HE LIKE BOOKS? Either of two books written by Bears football coach Art Briles might make a good gift — his autobiography, Looking Up, released last fall, or his new book of life lessons, Beating Goliath. If he’s more into teams from Baylor’s past, check out The History of Baylor Sports. Or, if he’s into military history, he might enjoy Soldiers of the Wooden Cross, a look at the lives of Baylor alumni who gave their lives in service.

HOW ABOUT FOOD? Every tailgater needs a Baylor apron and grill tools. Perhaps he’d be up for trying some Dr Pepper barbecue sauce or marinade? And he’s got to have somewhere to sit — a Baylor camping chair and tent should help Dad stay cool.

NONE OF THOSE FIT? Let everyone know he’s a Baylor dad with this “Papa Bear” t-shirt or a “Baylor Dad” coffee mug or auto decal. Or, if you want something more meaningful, consider giving to Baylor in his honor; gifts can be designated to any part of the university, from athletics to scholarships to a particular department.
