Baylor wedding ideas, from alums who have been there
This post is a first; we’re gonna address guys and gals separately.
Ladies first: It’s Valentine’s Day. Chances are good that a wedding — yours, your friend’s, your child’s, someone’s — has crossed your mind today. Chances are also good you’re on Pinterest. Have you seen the ways your fellow Bears have incorporated their alma mater into their weddings?
Inspired Baylor wedding ideas start with choosing green and gold as the theme (maybe even just for the rehearsal dinner), but also include wedding portraits on campus (on a Baylor swing, in Armstrong Browning Library, etc.); a Baylor garter for the big day; and Dr Pepper floats, a bear cake topper, and a group “sic ’em” photo at the reception.
Now the guys: Sure, the wedding is generally your fiance’s deal, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have some fun, too. Baylor groom’s cakes are popular, from Sailor Bear to the Baylor seal, the interlocking BU to a 3-D model of McLane Stadium. Maybe green and gold socks for your groomsmen? And if you’re still only working on your proposal, check out these guys’ ideas: a brick at McLane Stadium or elsewhere on campus, or perhaps simply popping the question at a memorable location on campus.
Guys and gals: Whether you’re actively planning your big day or simply dreaming of what the future might hold, check out the rest of the inspiration on our Baylor Weddings Pinterest board. While you’re there, check out our other boards too, from athletics to gameday gear.
Sic ’em, Bears!
