• Stadium and other Baylor projects moving right along

While the Baylor campus has been quiet over Christmas break, construction projects have been moving ahead at full steam.

The video above gives a good look at 15 months worth of work on Baylor’s newly renamed McLane Stadium. (Check out the live construction camera here.) With eight months to go until the first kickoff, brick and glass are going up at an astonishing pace.

Later this year, work will begin on the recently announced Beauchamp Athletics Nutrition Center, which will go up between the Simpson Athletics and Academic Center and the Baylor Marina on University Parks Drive. The new dining facility will complement Baylor Athletics’ existing nutrition assessment and education programs with a dedicated athletics nutrition center.

Across campus, initial work is underway at the site of the future Paul L. Foster Campus for Business and Innovation. Expected to be ready for fall 2015, the new home for the Hankamer School of Business will go up at the intersection of 3rd Street and Bagby Avenue, across from the East Village Residential Community.

    Sic ’em, Baylor construction projects!
