• It’s Baylor Homecoming Week!

Homecoming Week is upon us! More than 100 years ago, Baylor held the first collegiate homecoming in the nation, and that tradition continues this weekend.

The festivities begin in earnest Thursday night with Freshman Mass Meeting and the first of four Pigskin Revue performances, followed Friday night by Reunion Class events, the Bonfire and Extravaganza. Saturday opens with the nation’s largest collegiate Homecoming Parade and ends with No. 12-ranked Baylor football hosting Iowa State.

One special event is on the calendar for this week: Friday at 2 p.m., the Baylor community is invited out for the formal dedication of East Village. If you’re here for Homecoming — and why wouldn’t you be? — stop by and check out the latest in campus living.

Welcome Home bookletAs usual, various schools and departments are hosting open houses and alumni gatherings; check the Homecoming calendar for complete event listings and details.

While you’re on campus this weekend, make sure you pick up one of our “Welcome Home” booklets (pictured at right) to catch up on all that’s been going on in the Baylor family, complete with a weekend schedule, kids’ pages, and a pullout poster honoring Floyd Casey Stadium’s last season.

    Sic ’em, Baylor Homecomers!
