• Baylor again named a ‘best value’ among private schools by Kiplinger’s

    Baylor May 2013 graduates

Baylor prides itself on annual traditions like Diadeloso (our unique “Day of the Bear”), Sing (since 1953), Homecoming (the first of its kind), and now bowl games (thank you Coach Briles).

Now you can add another: Being named a “best value” among private colleges. For the sixth year in a row, Kiplinger’s Personal Finance has named Baylor among its top 100 “best values” in private universities. This year’s honor comes on the heels of both Baylor Law and the Hankamer School of Business being named best values among private law and business schools, respectively.

Like most private schools, the sticker price for tuition and fees is not the price most students pay; in fact, more than 90 percent of Baylor undergraduates receive some form of financial aid. Much of Baylor’s ability to provide such aid to students has come from generous alumni, in gifts ranging from a few dollars into the millions. If you were one of those who attended Baylor thanks even in part to scholarships, please consider joining me in paying it forward and giving even a small gift to support Baylor’s students of today and tomorrow.

    Sic ’em, Bears!
