• Alumni Network to honor Floyd Casey history with free pennant giveaway this season

    Baylor Alumni Network tent

The bad news: Summer is over. The good news: Baylor students are back on campus, and the first football game of the 2013 season is just days away!

To celebrate Floyd Casey Stadium’s final season, alums visiting the Baylor Alumni Network tent (near Touchdown Alley, south of the stadium) can pick up a commemorative pennant before each home game this year. Five hundred of the free 12-inch pennants will be given away at each game — first come, first serve. The Baylor Alumni Network tent opens immediately following the March of the Bears (which takes place three hours prior to kickoff), serving free burgers and fries from Fuddruckers.

Each game will feature a different pennant corresponding to the all-decade teams being honored as part of the yearlong celebration. Saturday’s giveaway will feature the current Baylor logos as the all-2000s teams is honored; Sept. 7 will represent the 1990s, Sept. 21 the 1980s, and so on, with the exception of the Oklahoma game, when the All-Floyd Casey Stadium Team will be recognized and a special Floyd Casey pennant will be available. Show up each week and collect all seven!

    See you at the tent!

    Sic ’em, Bears!

[The Bears kick off the 2013 season this Saturday at home against Wofford; game time is set for 6:30 p.m. Can’t make it to Waco? Tune in on FSN or join your fellow Bear fans at a Baylor Alumni Network watch party near you.]
