• Baylor law students lead Texas in bar exam pass rate for 17th time in last 24 tries

    Baylor Law students

Since July 2001, the Texas State Bar Exam has been given 24 times. Over that time, Baylor Law students have posted the top pass rate on the exam 17 times; no other law school in Texas has led the state more than three times.

On the most recent bar exam, 43 of of Baylor Law’s 45 first-time examinees passed (96%). That’s par for the course among Baylor students, who have topped the state in pass rate on every bar exam offered since July 2011.

What gives Baylor students such an edge as they begin their law careers? According to Dean Brad Toben (himself a 1977 Baylor Law graduate), it’s the university’s focus on the profession’s needs and expectations, coupled with dedication to the school’s mission and her students.
