Melanie Harbour-Pope didn’t even graduate from Baylor — but she’s one of BU’s best representatives.
Melanie, mother of Valerie Harbour, BS ’11, enjoyed her daughter’s experience at Baylor so much that she wanted to find ways to continue to support the university even after Valerie graduated. In addition to remaining active with the Baylor Parents League and renewing her football season tickets, Melanie (pictured above with her family) also signed up to become a Baylor Delegate.
Baylor Delegates are trained volunteers who recruit prospective students for Baylor, serving as a direct extension of the Office of Admission Services in their communities. Be they alumni, parents or just friends of Baylor, Delegates attend college fairs and other events, informing future students about the admissions process while sharing their own Baylor experiences.
Volunteering as a Baylor Delegate takes only a minimal commitment, but can make a huge impact on introducing tomorrow’s students to Baylor today.
