Since last summer, much of the first floor of the Bill Daniel Student Center (commonly known as the SUB) has been updated. The newly remodeled SUB Food Court has added the hamburger chain Mooyah to the existing Chick-fil-a and Ninfa’s, while Quiznos has moved into the front lobby.
The Den Lounge looks totally different, too, as the stage space, televisions, tables and couches have been rearranged to make room for an Einstein Bros. Bagels location near the SUB ticket office.
To go along with the new look, it was decided that new photos should decorate the SUB. Throughout the month of January, they solicited shots of campus taken by Baylor students. More than 100 entries were received, with 16 images chosen as finalists by the Student Productions Committee (a group of students that provide leadership for Sing, Pigskin and other BU productions).
Those images have now been posted on the Student Productions Facebook page for voting, which runs through Feb. 3 at 3 p.m. You can vote by “liking” one or more images in the album. The top six vote-getters will be enlarged and mounted in the SUB along with plaques bearing the student’s name and image title.
