• Two Baylor grads team up for new book series, ‘The Octobers’

Mix together a little bit of Harry Potter, a little bit of the Chronicles of Narnia, a little bit of the Lord of the Rings, and a little bit of the Oz series by L. Frank Baum, and you might come up with something like The Octobers, a new children’s book series by two Baylor alumni.

Craig Cunningham, BA ’08, and Jonathan Reynolds, BA ’05, have published the first four books in a series — just in time for Halloween. The stories tell the tale of the town of Hobble, where October never ends and hero Notch Cricklewood must head out on a quest to save the day.

Book 1 in the series, The Time Crystal, sits at No. 15 on Amazon’s list of the best-selling new fantasy books; the first four entries in the series are available now from Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

    Sic ’em, Craig and Jonathan!
