• ATO Bed Races cap busy evening on Baylor campus

Last Friday night was a busy one on the Baylor campus, as Baylor baseball held its annual “Burgers on the Berm,” Baylor soccer hosted No. 2 Oklahoma State with the Big 12 title on the line, Alpha Tau Omega organized its Bed Races down 5th Street (more on that below), Chi Omega held a Chili Cook-Off benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and student-run record label Uproar Records showcased its artists with a concert on Fountain Mall.

    Got all that?

The burgers and chili tasted great, the soccer team played its heart out, and the Uproar artists were fantastic. But the craziest event of the evening was the bed races, in which teams of students in themed costumes race a hospital bed down the street.

Superheroes in spandex? Check. Nerds with suspenders? Military camo? Flags as capes? Check, check and check. And that’s just the beginning. (Thanks to Baylor Photography for the video.)

    Sic ’em, bed racers!
