• Recent Baylor yearbooks receive national honors

2010 Baylor Round Up yearbookBaylor students: Whether you’re a freshman ready for your first collegiate classes (Monday!) or a senior who just can’t wait for graduation to get here, take note. If you’re looking for a quality keepsake of your college experience, the Baylor Round Up (yearbook) seems to be a good bet.

In 2009, the Round Up was a finalist for the Associated College Press Pacemaker Award, one of the highest honors in student journalism. The 2010 yearbook (pictured) was honored by Taylor Publishing as one of its Yearbooks of the Year, a recognition that goes to less than 2% of the yearbooks produced by this industry leader. Taylor Publishing was recently purchased by Balfour (yes, the ring company), and visitors to the Balfour College Yearbooks page will see one example of the company’s work featured: the 2009 Baylor Round Up.

Those who have worked on a yearbook staff, either in college or high school, likely recognize the Taylor Publishing name. Interestingly, the company was founded in 1939 by three brothers; one of them was Herbert C. Taylor, a Baylor alumnus who was editor of the Round Up back in 1916. The company has published Baylor’s yearbooks for years.

    Sic ’em, Round Up staff!
