• Written by alums, ‘B is for Baylor’ shares BU lore and ABCs with baby bears

B is for BaylorThanks to a pair of Baylor graduates, the very youngest members of the Baylor family can now learn about their parents’ alma mater as they learn their ABCs.

B is for Baylor, written by Jane Hampton Cook, BA ’92, and illustrated by Erin Dobbins, BA ’09, is designed to teach toddling future graduates not only the alphabet but also the history and traditions of Baylor. Written with an eye towards both young children and their parents, readers follow a curious bear cub on his adventure through the Baylor campus, exploring from A to Z the traditions, history and landmarks cherished by all Baylor Bears.

The book is printed by Baylor University Press on the Big Bear Books imprint and is available through BU Press, the Baylor Bookstore or retailers such as Amazon.com. Friday and Saturday, get your copy at a book signing on campus; look for the tent on Fountain Mall during Extravaganza or visit the Baylor Bookstore immediately following the parade.

    Sic ’em, Baby Bears!
