• Demand for a Baylor education reaches an all-time high

    Baylor Line Class of 2014Demand for a Baylor education is higher than ever before, with a record number of students applying to attend Baylor (more than 34,000) and a record freshman class (3,259 members of the class of 2014) adding up to, yes, a record enrollment (14,900, including 12,438 undergraduates).

    The academic quality of Baylor’s newest students remains strong, with an average SAT score of 1218 and an average ACT score of 26.4. The student body is also more diverse than ever; minority enrollment among this year’s freshmen stands at 36.4 percent, up from 35.1 percent last year and 31 percent in fall 2008. Common data sets have not yet been released for 2010-11, but looking at the most recent numbers available, Baylor’s student body remains the second most diverse in the Big 12.
