• Baylor’s Udoh predicted as first-round pick in tonight’s NBA Draft

    Ekpe UdohWhen the 2010 NBA Draft begins tonight at 6:30 p.m. CT (live on ESPN), Baylor all-American Ekpe Udoh will be among the featured guests at Madison Square Garden for the event. Nearly universally projected as an early first-round pick, Udoh was one of 15 prospects invited to attend the draft in-person. Tune in; Udoh (and Baylor) are likely to be heavily featured on the broadcast.

    If Udoh is indeed one of the first 30 players selected, a Baylor Bear will have been picked in the first round of each of the three major professional sports leagues in just the last 15 months. Jason Smith was the No. 2 overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft, followed two months later by Aaron Miller, a first-round pick in the 2009 Major League Baseball draft.

    Other top draftees from the past two years include Danny Watkins (No. 4 overall pick, 2010 CFL draft), Jessica Morrow (27th overall pick, 2009 WNBA draft) and Brette Reagan (No. 4 overall pick, 2009 National Pro Fastball Senior Draft).
