700+ Bears gather at SeaWorld for Diadeloso Texas

Earlier this month, over 700 Bears from all over the state gathered at SeaWorld in San Antonio for Diadeloso Texas. The event brought together Baylor alumni and students from across generations — including the young lady dressed as Shamu (pictured), who confided to a Baylor Network organizer that she, too, would be a Baylor Bear beginning this fall! Diadeloso Texas was hosted by the San Antonio Baylor Women’s League as an opportunity for the Baylor family to gather and reconnect, but it’s just one of many events occurring almost weekly for Bears all over the country and even across the globe. This Friday, for instance, is Baylor Night at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington; head men’s basketball coach Scott Drew and his team will be honored on the field before the game before throwing out the first pitch. Parents League chapters from Cincinnati, Denver and Kansas City to Austin, Dallas and Houston are hosting Summer Send-Offs for students in the coming weeks (see the calendar of events), and there are always regular gatherings of Baylor Business Network chapters across the state to bring together Bears for fellowship and networking.
