White House blog screenshotBaylor Proud wasn’t the only blog to highlight “Texas at the Table,” a hunger summit hosted by Baylor last month that aimed to find ways to eradicate hunger across the state. The event was organized by the Texas Hunger Initiative (THI), a partnership between Baylor’s School of Social Work and the Baptist General Convention of Texas led by Baylor graduate Jeremy Everett (MDiv ’01).

The event and THI were recently featured in a blog entry on WhiteHouse.gov written by the the director of the White House Office of Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships, Joshua Dubois. In the post, he applauded THI for its efforts to end childhood hunger in Texas by 2015, holding up the group as a great example for other states to follow.

    Sic ’em, Texas Hunger Initiative!
