Political science prof recognized by Texas Legislature

Posted by The Baylor Proud Team in Academics, Honors

Bullock ScholarsPolitical science professor Dr. James Curry was recognized earlier this year by the Texas Legislature for his work at Baylor, as the House passed a resolution honoring his service to students. A former chair of the department, Curry now serves as the Bob Bullock Professor of Public Policy and Administration and directs the Bob Bullock Scholars Program, a highly competitive program that places Baylor students as interns with the state legislature each summer. (That’s him at right with some recent Bullock Scholars.)

Curry also heads up the Washington, D.C., internship program for Baylor students we wrote about earlier this summer. For his work leading such programs, the House particularly recognized him for “helping to prepare future leaders for the Lone Star State.” (The entire resolution can be read here.)

Sic ’em, Dr. Curry!
