• Law students named national champs at mock trial competition

Baylor Law Mock Trial participantsFighting through laryngitis, a team of Baylor Law students recently was crowned national champions at the prestigious National Trial Competition, sponsored by the American College of Trial Lawyers. The duo of Joel Bailey and Eric Policastro (pictured at right in this team photo) beat out approximately 300 teams to claim the top spot at the event, which is the oldest and largest mock trial competition in the U.S.

When you consider that mock trials are really trial runs for the real courtroom, it shouldn’t be any surprise that Baylor came out on top. Baylor Law School works hard to prepare its graduates for the field of law in very practical ways, and that work pays off in a multitude of ways. Baylor Law grads lead the state in bar exam pass rate year after year, while its alumni excel in the field.

    Sic ’em, Baylor Law!
