Christmas album sales raise money for students’ mission trip to Kenya
I absolutely love Christmas music, and I’m always on the hunt for new recordings, be they obscure (Fernando Ortega’s “Bring a Torch, Jeanette, Isabella“) or downright unusual (“The Star Wars Christmas Album“). So I was excited to read that a couple of Baylor students and a local church are using Christmas music to raise funds for an upcoming mission trip to Kenya.
The students, Kaley and Lauren Eggers, suggested the idea to a pastor at Waco’s University Baptist Church as a fundraiser, which seemed appropriate given the importance of music in both American and Kenyan culture. The 13-track album includes songs performed by both Kaley and Lauren as well as other Baylor students, and it is available for download at ChristmasForKenya.com; the download is free, though a donation of $10 is suggested (you can give more or less). So go enjoy some Christmas music and support Baylor students as they endeavor to help others.
Sic ’em, UBC students!
